Skin Care Secrets Revealed: Natural Psoriasis Treatment the Aromantic way
By Kolbjorn Borseth
Psoriasis is a common, often inherited, skin disorder which occurs when the production rate of new skin cells is accelerated. The result is raised patches of pink, thick, new skin covered with flakes of dead skin. This acceleration seems to occur in connection with stress, emotional problems, infections or other illnesses.
Medical science has not yet solved the riddle of psoriasis or identified what causes it. Mostly, the treatment doctors are able to offer for psoriasis is the application of cortisone-based products. Although these relieve symptoms for periods of time, side-effects normally include damaged skin and patients are faced with using cortisone for the rest of their lives. Because of this, our advice is never to begin with cortisone products in the first place, even if your doctor recommends them. If you are already using cortisone products, our advice is gradually to decrease the use of cortisone (to avoid the reaction which can occur if the cortisone is stopped suddenly) and then to continue treatment with our Psoriasis Creams.
Psoriasis Treatment Using Tea Tree Oil Products
Tea Tree Oil products have no known side effects and they are giving good results in the treatment of psoriasis.
Several times per day – Apply to affected areas (alternating between a Tea Tree Cream and Lotion) for bigger areas).
A Tea Tree product with Aloe Vera and Borage Oil (this combination is very effective in the treatment of psoriasis).
A Tea Tree Lotion – for particularly dry psoriasis areas.
"First I wanted to take time to thank you on giving me the insider knowledge on how to make creams I have attended the beginners, intermediate and theory courses and I have found them really informative and knowledgable an additonal bonus was the handy hints, anecdotes and tips on good skin care and knowledge on skin allergies that Kolbjorn has collated through his years of experience."

"After suffering the misery of psoriasis on my scalp for at least 10 years, I can at last see the light at the end of the tunnel – all thanks to your Tea Tree products. Words cannot express my gratitude."

"I’ve experienced that Tea Tree Oil in footbaths is good for people with psoriasis. The boils which they often develop on the soles of the feet contract and disappear."

"I’ve tried Aromantic Tea Tree Lotion with 2 of my clients who have had extensive psoriasis on the soles of their feet, scalp and in patches elsewhere on the body. Both clients applied the lotion 3-4 times a day. In the 9 weeks since treatment started the results have been good. Both clients say the itchiness is gone, their skin is soft and without the usual cracks and that some of the well-known redness around the patches has disappeared. Both clients have said that the lotion has been as effective as the cortisone products they used to use."

Factors affecting psoriasis and ways to treat it
- Switch to a vegetarian diet, preferably vegan.
- Try to identify the source of your stress and how this affects your mental and emotional health and find a way to manage it that works for you (e.g. relaxation, counselling, body therapy, meditation, 'time out', etc.)
- Try visiting a health farm where you can fast and get advice and support about changing your diet.
- To detoxify your system after extended use of cortisone, see a homoeopath.
- Do not use ointments, creams and lotions containing Vaseline or Paraffin Oil. These suppress Psoriasis symptoms and patients think they are well again but the Psoriasis is still active in the body. Only use Vegetable Oils on your skin!
- Silica is very important in healing Psoriasis. Take homeopathic silica tablets.
- If you want to heal your psoriasis, you need to stop drinking alcohol!
Sodium Bicarbonate Bath
Use 1-3 times per week. Add 2-5 tablespoons of Sodium Bicarbonate to your bath water every other night. These measures counteract excess acidity in the body, which psoriasis thrives on.
Simple Foot Baths in the Evening
Take one of the following Foot Bath Treatments in the evenings (see Bath Treatments for how to prepare a Foot Bath).
Foot Bath 1
Take a Foot Bath containing 5-10 drops of Tea Tree Essential Oil.
Foot Bath 2
Put 1 tablespoon of Sodium Bicarbonate in a Foot Bath.
Foot Bath 3
Take a Foot Bath with 25g dried Birch or Horsetail leaves added to it (the water has to be boiling when the herbs are added – wait for it to cool down before placing your feet in the tub).

Psorisias and Diet
If your body chemistry is too acid you must eat more alkaline foods to assist psoriasis treatment. You can test your acid/alkaline balance by using simple litmus paper. If your urine is under +7, you are too acid.
Balancing your diet - Acid/Alkaline
When food is metabolised by the body the end products are either acidic or alkaline. Acids are compounds of elements, which give away hydrogen ions, alkalines are compounds of elements which attract hydrogen ions. The body needs both acids and alkalines for its metabolism but we have more difficulty getting rid of acids than alkalines. It is therefore easy for an accumulation of excess acids to occur which can cause us to get rheumatism or skin problems such as psoriasis. To avoid this, aim for a diet which is 70% alkaline and 30% acid. One of the simplest ways to immediately create more alkalinity in your body is to drink so-called superfood powdered drinks. Choose a brand that contains ingredients with high alkaline values such as spinach, broccoli, carrot, wheatgrass, barley grass, chlorella, alfalfa and sprouted grain powders.
To achieve a more alkaline diet you can consider replacing the following items in your diet:
Acid |

|

| Bread – all grains except buckwheat |
Sprouted grain bread or buckwheat bread |
| Grain-based pasta except buckwheat |
