Oils from Madagascar

Madagascar Oils
Plant material such as Ravensara is collected by hand to be steam distilled.
Oils we source from Madagascar include Clove Bud oil, Cinnamon Leaf and
bark oils, Eucalyptus oil, Vanilla extracts, and Black Pepper oil among others…
The oils are steam distilled from the plant material in a rural still such
as this.
Planting and weeding is all done by hand, which provides many jobs.
More and more products are being incorporated into this project and are
being sustainably farmed by the local people.
For some products a mobile still is used to be able to reach small communities
who are growing plants to be made into essential oils who cannot afford to
build their own permanent still.
