Oils and their Benefits / Uses in Skin Care Products

Overview:
Each day 10 Essential Oils will be discussed and the syllabus will consist
of:
- Brief history of Essential Oils
- Properties - Chemical Constituents
- Skin Care and Therapeutic effect
- Their astrological and psychological aspects
Students attending this course will be expected to undertake some homework
as an ongoing assessment prior to certification.
This is a very intensive, inspiring course and opens up a whole new
world for the skin care producer. The Essential Oils studied on the first
weekend to be held 8-10th June 2007 will be: Basil, Bergamot, Black Pepper,
Cedarwood, Chamomile. Citronella, Clary Sage, Clove, Cypress, Eucalyptus,
Ginger, Grapefruit, Hyssop, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Lemon Verbena,
Lemongrass, Mandarin, Marjoram, Melissa, Myrtle, Neroli, Orange, Palmarosa,
Patchouli, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Pine, Ravensara.
About the Tutor
Brenda Coverdale has been a complementary practitioner for the past
40 years and a tutor of Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Iridology with Applied
Nutrition and Herbal Medicine for the last 35 years. In this time she
has accumulated a wealth of clinical experience. She has been widely
interviewed both in newspapers and television. She has worked alongside
Kings College Hospital introducing complementary therapy to third year
doctors and works with a Harley Street Doctor in the area of gynaecological
problems. Brenda is a member of the IIGCP, AOR, HIA, MCAR, AC Registered
and was given a Fellow Membership of the IHAF for her contribution to
the field of Aromatherapy. She is a Director of Studies and an accreditation
officer of Aromatherapy Schools.
Workshops will be accredited to the International Holistic Skin Care
Association and the International Holistic Aromatherapy Foundation. They
can be used as CPD's (Continuing Professional Development) Workshops.
