A One-Day course with Kolbjørn Borseth

Overview:

This course is ideal for aromatherapists and other therapists, beauticians etc. who want to make their own bath products and soaps for personal and commercial use.

The emphasis of this course is to learn how to use many different types of raw materials for baths and healing soaps.

We will be making:

Bath melts
Fizzy bath bombs
Healing soaps
Bath gels
Foam baths
Bath salts

Course Contents

The day begins with Kolbjorn talking about different types of healing baths for different skin problems. After the theory we will make bath melts, fizzy bath bombs and healing soaps.

After lunch students will learn how to make bath gels, foam baths for healing, and bath salts.

NOTE: Before learning how to make a product Kolbjørn will discuss the benefits of the product and demonstrate the exact utensils and raw materials required. ALL raw materials and utensils are provided and students usually work in groups of 4 per table. A printed hand-out of the recipe and technique is given to each student at the beginning of every demonstration. This enables the student to focus upon the 'hands-on' aspect of the session and ensures that each participant leaves with a complete set of notes and recipes for future reference.

The day is completed with a question and answers session.
